The chairs constructed of thick yellow bamboo are surprisingly more comfortable than they look. The appetising aroma of a Thai kitchen wafts over even as we approach the restaurant. Restoran Thai Village is just a short distance away from the Giant Hypermarket in Shah Alam. Parking is a breeze, especially in the evenings, with ample space right in front of the restaurant. Thai Village serves a varied menu with mostly Thai dishes dotted with Chinese and Malay items. The menu is mind-boggling, with over 100 items and still growing. Thank goodness there are, for those who cannot make up their minds, 15 types of set menus from RM29 for groups of between two and 10 persons. This sure takes the hard work out of agreeing on what to order. Lunch hours find the restaurant filled with office workers and factory staff from nearby Bukit Jelutong. Make reservations
